Munich Airport offers lots of entertainment for our smaller passengers, too! All of our facilities – the Visitors Park, Kinderland and the airport’s play corners – provide children with an ideal setting where they can enjoy themselves to the fullest!

After passing through security screening, you and the little airport fans will be right in the middle of the action as aircraft are prepared for departure in the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 ramp areas. You will gain fascinating insights into all operational procedures and see the airport functioning as a complete system.For groups from regular schools, we offer the “MUCi tour” at a special rate of EUR 3.50 per child/pupil for complete classes (20–55 participants). more...
"Kinderterminals" at the Visitors Center

Special “children’s terminals” have been set up in the Visitors Center. These touchscreens are designed for use by children and enable them to find out how an airport works: Children aged 6–9 can select various contents, for example explaining how aircraft are prepared for departure, the various jobs and professions at the airport, or the work of the airport fire department. Our youngest visitors can even have the information read to them. Visitors aged 10–14 can get information about careers at the airport, training opportunities, the fire department and baggage handling.
"Sendung mit der Maus" in the Visitors Center
"Die Maus"
Visitors of all ages can see an episode of the popular German TV series "Sendung mit der Maus" at the free cinema in the Visitors Center. Host Armin Maiwald explains what has to be done before a plane can take off – from catering to the complex loading operations to the preflight activities of the flight attendants and the flight crew. This film is also shown on the children’s terminals and is approximately one hour in length.

"Alle Flieger fliegen hoch!" (“All the planes are taking off”) is the 34th episode of "Willi will´s wissen", a German children’s series produced by Megaherz Film on behalf of Bavarian Broadcasting. It is shown exclusively several times a day at our Visitors Center.

What an operation! There’s always a lot going on at Munich Airport. Approximately 1000 planes take off and land here every day, carrying 100,000 arriving and departing passengers from all over the world. Willi the reporter finds out everything that a plane goes through from the time it lands until it's ready to take off again. He meets air traffic controllers and a tracking dog and is even allowed into the cockpit.

If you’ve always wanted a behind-the-scenes look at Munich Airport, this is a film not to be missed!
