The new issue of the international lifestyle and travel magazine Monocle, due to hit the newstands today, honors Munich Airport as the "Smoothest international hub" in recognition of its very smooth and efficient handling of transit traffic.

In the special insert "The Monocle Travel Top Fifty" the globetrotting authors of the prestigious London-based magazine report on their experiences with airlines, airports, hotels and other travel-related service providers. Their results are summed up in 50 categories. Under "Smoothest international hub", which covers the quality and comfort of the passenger experience, Munich Airport came out on top.
