For the sixth year in a row, the airport sets new records for passenger traffic and aircraft movements in 2008. The 34.5 million arriving and departing passengers represent yet another all-time high. Among the most pleasing trends is the above-average increase in intercontinental traffic. For the summer timetable season, the airport adds three attractive new Asian destinations. The 183 foreign cities served non-stop from Munich during the winter timetable period include 45 long-haul destinations in Africa, North and South America and Asia.
