The wholly-owned subsidiary Munich Airport International (MAI) offers airport management, consulting and training services worldwide. Over the past 28 years, MAI has evolved from being the leading ORAT service provider to a global airport operator. Today MAI is a trusted partner for smart money and ambitious airports throughout the world. With four subsidiaries and affiliated companies, MAI employs around 85 highly skilled experts globally and has a proven track record of more than 110 successfully delivered projects across more than 40 countries.

MAI provides best practice solutions for the entire airport lifecycle, including bid advisory services for airport concessions, airport masterplan and design, operational readiness and airport transfer (ORAT), efficient and sustainable airport operations, optimization of aviation and non-aviation revenues, tailor-made training programs, as well as comprehensive airport management.

Currently we are looking for a “(Senior) Associate (m/f/d) Business Operations” for our business operations team. The position is also suitable for young professionals with relevant internship experience.

Ihre zukünftigen Aufgaben

  • Market and competitor analysis: research and analysis of market trends, market intelligence, tender boards, and competitors worldwide
  • Lead and/or support preparation of proposals, including project planning as well as effort and price estimations
  • Create project and customer profiles, presentation documents, product/service presentations and lectures in English
  • Maintain and update central databases e.g. opportunities, projects and contacts
  • Assist set-up of consulting projects, e.g. project documentation, project structure, and know-how transfer

Das bringen Sie mit

  • Bachelor or University degree in aviation, business or technical discipline- profound knowledge in bid management, airport operations and aviation are preferred. Ideally, you have certain know-how in the area of airport business and processes as well as work experience in an international environment
  • Strong analytical thinking, comfortable working independently with minor supervision- constant focus on the needs of internal and external customers
  • Highly motivated personality with experience in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary professional environments
  • Ability to remain confident, keep track of assigned tasks, and cope well with unforeseen situations- even in labor-intensive phases
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills - ability to plan and influence business processes and stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English and German (oral and written) is mandatory, other language skills are advantageous
  • A professional approach to MS Office applications and other tools that will allow you to quickly visualize and review your ideas
  • Certified clean police record for airport pass application and police background check
