July 5, 2022

  • Report brings together economic, environmental and social issues
  • Detailed explanation of “Strategy 2030”
  • Also available in print from August

In the second year of the global coronavirus pandemic and the resulting decline in international air travel, fiscal 2021 again presented Munich Airport with a number of major challenges. Munich Airport’s twelfth integrated report titled “New times. New horizons.” reports on all the most important developments in 2021. Interested parties can read the online report to learn about the performance of the Munich Airport group in all its aspects.

The integrated report brings together data, facts and information about economic, environmental and social issues. In five chapters, it clearly outlines the group’s key figures, the various business areas, the financial position of the company, and the consolidated financial statements. It also describes the airport’s extensive sustainability program and transparently presents the targets set and achieved on the basis of key figures.

A magazine section looks at “Strategy 2030,” providing details of the targets that Munich Airport intends to achieve in the next few years. Key aspects are the further improvement of the quality of service and stay as well as sustainable business activity. This section also outlines Munich Airport’s positioning as a green mobility hub and its role as a modern and attractive employer. Another important strategic issue presented is the vital improvement of the airport’s rail links.

“The 2021 integrated report throws light on another challenging fiscal year for Munich Airport, although the anticipated trend reversal has already become apparent: the signs are again pointing to growth,” says Jost Lammers, CEO and Chief Human Relations Officer of Munich Airport. Lammers continues: “New times. New horizons.” presents an integrated, transparent picture of our business activity and illustrates all the economic, environmental and social aspects of the airport’s operations. We thus make a clear commitment to corporate sustainability.”

The online version of “New times. New horizons.” can now be accessed at report2021.munich-airport.com.

Printed on recycled paper in line with the company’s own standard, the hard-copy version of the report is expected to be available from August.
