Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (e.g. your name, address or telephone number).
3.2. What information do we store and for which purposes?
When you access any part of our website (with the exception of the contact form – see below), data which could be used to identify you (e.g. your IP address) and other information such as the date, time and the pages accessed during the session are stored only in pseudonymized form. You have a right to object to the creation of these utilization profiles. If you wish to exercise this right, please notify us in writing (Section 15 Par. 3 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG)). When you submit the contact form, the current IP address of the sender is saved for security reasons.
These data are stored on servers of FMG and analyzed statistically for marketing and optimization purposes – so that you will find even better content and services in the future. It is not possible to identify individual persons with the data.
Please note: You will be required, however, to register with your data to use certain services. For further information, see the separate data protection statement for the service in question.
If you register on our pages or contact us using our contact form, we will process and use the personal data collected (e.g. your email address) as needed for the purpose in question.

3.6. Duration of storage
We comply with the principles of data avoidance and data minimization. Consequently, we store your personal data only as long as necessary for achieving the specified purposes or as stipulated under the various storage periods required by law. After the relevant purpose no longer applies or the expiry of these periods, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted routinely in accordance with the statutory regulations.
4. Collection of general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically logged. This information (server log files) contain such data as the type of web browser, the operating system, the domain name of your internet service provider, etc. It is not possible to use any of this information to identify you. These data are needed for technical reasons for correct delivery of the website contents requested by you and are necessary when using the internet. We perform statistical analysis on anonymous information of this kind in order to optimize our website and the underlying technology.
5. Cookies, web management, web analysis and advertising
We use certain technical services for the technical management, analysis and optimization of our websites and also for marketing purposes. These services generally utilize small text files known as cookies. These cookies are transferred from a web server to your end device (e.g. your hard disk) and are stored there.
The technical services and cookies help to make our products and services more user-friendly for you and – depending on the purpose – help us to optimize and develop them. In some areas of our websites, information on your browsing activity on our site is collected in pseudonymized / anonymized form and processed under a pseudonym (utilization profile) as needed. This method is also used to store settings for various products and services selected by you (a).
None of the data processed through our technical services and cookies are used by us to identify you personally. Nor are these data combined with other data by us.
The cookie types used by us are primarily session cookies used only for the current session. In addition, we use "persistent cookies" that remain active beyond the end of the current session. Persistent cookies make it possible to recognize your browser if you visit our website at a later date.
The cookies we use to manage our websites cannot be deactivated (b). Without these cookies we cannot provide the functionality, products and services we offer.
In particular in the area of web analysis (which relates to such questions as: What exactly do users do on our websites? Where do the sites need improvement? etc.) we use technical services provided by external data processing companies. For that purpose, your utilization data are stored in pseudonymized / anonymized form and transferred to the external data processing provider for processing.
For marketing purposes, third-party cookies (c) (targeting/ advertising cookies) are used. For example, we use search engine marketing services in some areas of our websites. The provider sets a third-party cookie that is retrieved by our website when a website objective is fulfilled (e.g. the booking of a parking space) and transferred to the third-party provider in question. This serves to permit anonymized measurement of the results of the advertising.
For web analysis and marketing, you can generally decide whether or not you wish to permit the analysis or advertising.
If you do not wish to permit the use of such cookies, then you have the option of deactivating individual services and their cookies by setting an "opt-out cookie" (5.1). If you do this, none of your data will be processed.
In addition, you can adjust your browser settings so that no cookies are saved or for all cookies to be deleted at the end of your current session (d).
If you delete your cookies using your internet browser, your opt-out cookies will be deleted as well. In this case you will have to set new opt-out cookies.
5.1.1 Use of Google Analytics
In addition to or instead of the browser add-on, you can block tracking by Google Analytics on our web pages by clicking this link. An opt-out cookie will then be installed on your device. This will block the collection of data by Google Analytics for this website and this browser in the future and for as long as the cookie is installed in your browser.
5.1.2 Google Analytics Demographics and Interests Reporting
In addition to the standard version of Google Analytics, we also use Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. For this purpose, Google uses a DoubleClick cookie if one is stored on your computer. Through this service, we receive reports from Google with information, for example, on which visitor groups (interests, age groups) visit our website and what interests them there. We use this information to better serve our target group. You are not personally identified in these reports.
When using our website, you consent to this use of data in the context of Google Analytics (Demographics and Interests Reporting).
You can prevent your visit from being included in our reports by opting out of Google Analytics tracking as described above.
Information on how Google uses data and how you can prevent or monitor this data use is also available in the "How Google uses data when you use our partners" sites or apps.
5.1.3 Use of Google DoubleClick for Publishers
This website uses DoubleClick for Publishers ("Doubleclick"), a service of Google. Doubleclick is a platform for the placement, management and optimization of ads on websites. With Doubleclick we can reach and present personalized ads to website visitors who have shown interest in certain content areas. This is made possible through an analysis of their use of our website, including other site pages, and on other websites within the Google display network (Google itself, Google Ads, and other websites). For this purpose, Google uses DoubleClick cookies, which are stored on your computer. Most cookies contain a cookie ID. This is a sequence of characters that match websites and servers to the browser where the cookie is stored. It enables the websites and servers to distinguish the browser from browsers with other cookies and identify every browser with a unique cookie ID. This ID is used exclusively for the unique identification of a web browser on a certain computer and not to identify a person. DoubleClick cookies do not contain or store any personal data of users.
You can deactivate personalized Google ads in your browser by clicking the "Turn off" link in the deactivation settings under https://www.google.de/settings/ads or, if you use the Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer browser, by deactivating the DoubleClick cookie by installing the browser add-on available at https://www.google.de/settings/ads.
5.1.4 Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. This function serves to present interest-based adds to website users within the Google display network. A cookie is stored in the website user's browser so that the user can be recognized when accessing other websites in the Google display network. The user can be shown ads on these sites based on the contents they have viewed on websites that use the Google Remarketing function.
5.1.5 Use of etracker technologies
The data generated as a result are processed and saved solely in Germany by etracker on our behalf and are thus subject to strict German and European data privacy laws and standards. Etracker has been independently audited and certified in this regard and awarded the data privacy quality seal ePrivacyseal.
Data are processed in accordance with the legal provisions of Art. 6 Par. 1 (f) (legitimate interests) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). Our legitimate interests are the optimization of our online services and our website. The privacy of our users is very important to us. Consequently, the IP address is anonymized by etracker at the earliest possible stage and the login and device IDs are converted to a unique key. This cannot be associated with an individual person, however. The data are not used by etracker for any other purposes, merged with other data or forwarded to third parties.
You can described above at any time to the extent that such processing involves personally identifiable data. An objection will not result in any disadvantages for you.
I object to the processing of my personal data with etracker on this website.
Further privacy information on etracker is available here.
5.1.6 Use of Adobe Analytics (Omniture)
6. Analysis through WiredMinds
Our website uses the tracking pixel technology of WiredMinds AG to analyze the behavior of website visitors.
This involves the collection, processing and storage of data to create usage profiles under a pseudonym. Whenever possible, these usage profiles are fully anonymized. For that purpose, cookies may be used. Cookies are small text files stored in the user's browser and used to recognize the browser on future website visits. The data collected – which may include personal data – are transferred to or collected directly by WiredMinds. WiredMinds is permitted to use information left during visits to the websites to create anonymous usage profiles. The data collected in this way are not used for personal identification of visitors to this website without their express consent, and are not combined with personal data through the bearer of the pseudonym. If IP addresses are collected, they are immediately converted to anonymous form by deleting the final block of digits.
The site visitor may object at any time to the future collection, processing and storage of data via the following link: Don't track my visits
7. Social plug-ins
Social plug-ins of the providers listed below are implemented on our websites. You can identify these plug-ins by the corresponding logos.
In some cases, information may be sent to and used by the service provider through these plug-ins, possibly including personal data. We prevent the capture and transfer of data to the service provider without the user's knowledge or consent with a two-click solution. To activate a social plug-in, the user must first click the appropriate button. The capture and transfer of information to the service provider is triggered only after the plug-in is activated. We do not capture any personal data ourselves by means of the social plug-ins or their utilization.
We have no influence over which data an activated plug-in will capture or how the provider will use such data. At present, it must be assumed that a direct link is created to the provider's services and that at least the IP address and device-related information is captured and utilized. It is also possible that the service provider will attempt to store cookies on the computer being used. For information on which specific data are stored in such cases and how they are used, please refer to the data protection statement of the service provider in question. Please note: If you are simultaneously logged in on Facebook, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a certain website.

8. Google AdWords
Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you access our website via an ad placed by Google, Google AdWords will place a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is placed on a computer when the user clicks an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website before the cookie expires, we and Google can see that the user clicked on the ad and was transferred to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. As a result, cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWord customers. The information collected with the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers are informed of the total number of users who click on their ad and are transferred to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which the user can be personally identified.
If you do not wish to take part in tracking, you can opt out of the necessary placement of cookies – for example in the browser settings through a general deactivation of cookies, or by blocking cookies from the domain "googleleadservices.com".
Please note that you cannot delete the opt-out cookies if you do not want measurement data to be collected. If you delete all of the cookies in your browser, you will have to renew the relevant opt-out cookie.
9. Bing Ads
On our website we use Bing Ads technology (bingads.microsoft.com), provided and operated by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA ("Microsoft"). If you click on a Microsoft Bing ad, Microsoft will place a cookie on your computer or mobile device. This enables Microsoft and us to recognize that someone has clicked on an ad before being directed to our website and reaching a previously defined target site. These cookies are not used for personal identification. The only information they provide is the total number of users who clicked on a Bing Ad before being directed to the target site. The target sites are generally booking or registration confirmation pages (e.g. when booking a parking space or an event ticket).
If you do not want information on your behavior to be tracked by Microsoft as described above, you can opt out of the placement of the necessary tracking cookies – for example in your browser settings by deactivating the automatic placement of cookies in all cases. In addition, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website and the processing of the data by Microsoft by clicking the following link http://choice.microsoft.com/de-DE/opt-out to opt out. Further information on data protection and the cookies used by Microsoft and Bing Ads is available on the Microsoft website: https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.
10. Your rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent
You have the right to obtain information from us at any time on your personal data stored by us. You also have the right to rectification and/or erasure of data, restriction of processing (also referred to in this context as blocking), objection to processing, data portability and the withdrawal at any time of the authorizations granted by you.
To avoid potential misunderstandings, however, please note: If a legal obligation prevents us from deleting your data, we will block your data on request. To ensure that a data block can be complied with at all times, these data must be kept in a blocked file for monitoring purposes. You can make changes or revoke a declaration of consent with future effect at any time by notifying us accordingly. Your consent is legally effective only until such time at which it is revoked.

For your next visit to our website the new Privacy Statement will then apply.
