LabCampus brings together research, high-tech industries across various sectors, young companies and aspiring talent. They all benefit from its unique infrastructure, which promotes encounters and dialogue with one another – and at the same time provides a perfect link to the ecosystem in the Munich metropolitan region and to international innovation hotspots.
CONNECT. CREATE. COLLABORATE.
The architectural focus on collaboration and encounters plays a key role in the innovative strength of LabCampus, with its numerous common areas. In addition, with its potential to accommodate up to 29 buildings on the site, the campus gives its residents the chance to grow in both economic and spatial terms.
We are convinced that great innovations emerge wherever great ideas come together. That is why LabCampus helps its vibrant community to take advantage of synergies by organising events and putting people and businesses in contact with one another, among other things.
The first buildings at LabCampus are now complete: with the LAB48 and LAB52 AirportAcademy, we are already bringing together the business world and science community for cross-sector and cross-company collaboration.
We believe in the power of collaboration, which is why LabCampus promotes knowledge and technology transfer in the innovative state of Bavaria – and is growing to become a key part of the innovation ecosystem in the Munich metropolitan region.

Groundbreaking innovations are rarely the result of isolated brilliance but usually emerge following collaboration between clever minds from different professions. As one of Europe’s most innovative regions, the Munich Metropolitan Area is showing how contact can be established – with hubs that facilitate collaboration and break down silos. LabCampus is a perfect example of this.
The urban mobility of the future presents us with complex challenges. Solutions can only be found by pooling knowledge from the worlds of research, industry and politics. The location of Bavaria – and especially LabCampus as a centre of innovation for cross-sector and cross-industry cooperation – offer ideal conditions for necessary collaboration.
LabCampus is officially open. On July 12, the campus was opened in the presence of numerous guests by Minister of State Albert Füracker, Munich Airport CEO Jost Lammers, Munich Airport CFO Nathalie Leroy and Prof. Dr. Thomas F. Almost 5 years after the kick-off for the planning of LabCampus, the time has come to officially open the doors of our LAB 48. With its outstanding architecture, the many gathering places and spaces for collaboration, the LAB 48 reflects the concept of LabCampus.
