Introduction

Here you will find frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the AirportAcademy's Learning Experience Platform (LXP) – the central learning and booking platform for our entire portfolio of training and education courses. 

1 General information

  • 1.1 Why do I need a personal account on the AirportAcademy's Learning Experience Platform (LXP)?

    A personal account is free of charge for you. Many of the AirportAcademy's offers require verification, which offers you additional advantages:

    • The necessary information is automatically taken from the data stored in your profile each time you make a booking. It is not necessary to enter it again, but changes can still be made.
    • In addition to past bookings, you will also find all the associated certificates or attestations in the training history.
    • You will automatically receive reminders for training courses or qualifications that are about to expire, and you can rebook them via the platform as required.
    • You can save interesting training courses for later.

  • 1.2 I have forgotten my password. What can I do?

    You can reset your password yourself on the login page. To do this, follow the “Forgot password” link.

    Employees of the Munich Airport Group without an FMG email address should contact the AirportAcademy directly (e-learning@munich-aiport.de).

  • 1.3 How can I change my password?

    Log in to the platform and go to “My account”. Here you can access the "Options" and assign a new password by clicking on “Change password”.

    Please note the requirements for creating a new password.

  • 1.4 Where can I find the training I have booked?

    There are several ways to access booked training courses. On the home page, you will find these under “Your training” or in your personal profile under “Training certificate”.

  • 1.5 How can I customize the information in my personal profile?

    Requests for changes can be made via the AirportAcademy. Please note that personal data can only be changed if supported by documentary evidence (e.g. typing error in date of birth, change of name, etc.). Please contact the AirportAcademy directly (e-learning@munich-airport.de).

  • 1.6 Can I make a booking for someone else?

    You can normally only book personally assigned training courses. Therefore, personal registration is necessary. If you wish to make collective bookings for your company (> 10 bookings per year), please contact the AirportAcademy directly (e-learning@munich-airport.de).

  • 1.7 Can I delete my account?

    It is not possible to delete the customer account on your own. To do this, please contact the AirportAcademy directly (e-learning@munich-airport.de).

2 Trainings opportunities

  • 2.1 In which languages are the training programs offered?

    Our training courses (classroom, online and web based training) can be taken as standard in German and English. Please make sure to select the desired language when booking a training course.

    Certificates or attestations will be issued in the respective language in which the course was completed.

  • 2.2 Are your training courses officially authorized?

    If necessary, our training courses have official approval, e.g. from the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA, German Federal Aviation Authority), or are recognized by the respective inspection authority. The required approval number can be found on the corresponding training certificate.

  • 2.3 Is there a final test at the end of every training course?

    Information on whether the training you have booked ends with a final test can be found in the description of the respective training.

  • 2.4 How do I receive my certificates or attestations?

    As soon as you have completed a training course, it will be available to you via your personal profile under “Training Record” after the training.

  • 2.5 The information on my certificate or attestation is incorrect. What should I do?

    Requests for changes can be made via the AirportAcademy.   • 2.6 How long is my training / qualification valid for?

  • 2.7 How long is my training / qualification valid for?

    The validity of a training or qualification can be found on the certificate. If no validity period is specified, it is valid for an unlimited period.

    Note: The validity of training or qualifications may change due to regulatory requirements. Please note that infringements may result in the withdrawal of the validity of training or qualifications.

3 Order and invoice

  • 3.1 How do I pay for my booking?

    You pay by bank transfer after you have booked and been sent the invoice.

  • 3.2 What happens after booking?

    After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with the date, venue and further information.

  • 3.3 Invoice address – participant address

    When you place your booking, please provide the address to which the invoice should be sent. This will usually be the company you work for. You do not need to provide your home address.

  • 3.4 Can I change the invoice address?

    As the customer, you can change the invoice address in your profile or during the next order process.

4 Online / Web Based Trainings

  • 4.1 Who can I contact about error messages?

    If you receive an error message from the system, please contact our support team at academy.noreply@munich-airport.de.

  • 4.2 Can I pause or stop a training session?

    Each training session can be paused and continued at a later time.

    It is not possible to interrupt a final test – the system will count this as an unsuccessful attempt.

  • 4.3 What can I do if I cannot successfully complete a Web Based Training course with the given number of attempts?

    If you do not successfully complete a course, you will have to book it again at an additional cost if necessary.

5 Changes to bookings / Cancellation of classroom trainings

  • 5.1 What happens if a training course is canceled by the AirportAcademy?

    If a training event is canceled by the AirportAcademy for various reasons (e.g. illness of the trainer, bad weather, force majeure, etc.), you as a participant do not have to do anything. No further costs will be incurred. Please note our terms and conditions. The cancellation will be made by the AirportAcademy and you will receive further information about booking a new appointment via the cancellation email.

  • 5.2 Can I name a replacement participant for a training course that has already been booked?

    If you are unable to attend a booked training course and would like to nominate an alternative participant, please proceed as follows:

    • The replacement participant must already be registered on the AirportAcademy's Learning Experience Platform.
    • Contact the AirportAcademy by phone or email. You will find the contact details in your booking confirmation.
    • After consultation with the AirportAcademy, your participation will be canceled free of charge if applicable and the vacant place will be made available again. A booking must be made by the replacement participant immediately. There is no entitlement to the vacant place.

  • 5.3 What happens if the replacement participant does not book the free place?

    A replacement participant for an event must book directly and immediately, otherwise the place will be allocated and is then freely bookable. In this case, cancellation fees will be charged to the original booker.
