Christmas magic of lights at Munich Airport

Christmas market feeling at the airport: Our popular Christmas and Winter Market takes place once again in 2025 in the middle of our Christmas decorated fir forest at the Munich Airport Center.

Around the large ice rink, lots of culinary delicacies and plenty of good atmosphere await visitors from near and far. As every year, there will be plenty of music for the ears: With performances on stage, there is a suitable style of music for every taste.

On the covered open space, all passengers and visitors can enjoy the Christmas and Winter Market to the fullest even in rainy weather.

Ice skating and curling

Opening hours: daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.


Visitors can skate all day on the ice rink for a fee of €5. If your skates need sharpening, we offer this service on site. This is included in the price. If you don't have your own skates, you can rent them on site for €5. (Sizes between 24 and 47 are available, subject to availability)

  • Using ice rink: 5 euros per person, unlimited in time
  • Curling rink: 25 euros per hour

An ice rink is a must at the Christmas and winter market.

Family Day and Ice Disco

Every Tuesday is “Family Day” at the Christmas and Winter Market – which means that every exhibitor offers at least one discounted product.

And on Wednesdays it’s time to put on your skates – the ice disco with a DJ kicks off at 6 p.m. by the ice rink. Please note: on the Day of Prayer and Repentance (November 19, 2025), the ice disco will take place without a DJ.


Ceramic painting

Also this year, a creative workshop will take place from Thursday to Sunday, where children and adults can paint ceramics such as mugs or plates. Participation in the workshops is free of charge; only the ceramic pieces need to be purchased, and shipping costs may apply (pickup in Fürholzen is also possible).

Opening hours:

  • Thursday and Friday: 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.

In general, no reservation is required.

Groups of 6 people or more should arrange an appointment advance via info@toepferwelt-handkraft.de.


NEW: Design your own Christmas ornaments

New this year is the Christmas ornament decorating workshop – located right in front of the “House of St. Nicholas”. Create your own sparkling one-of-a-kind piece – perfect as a gift or for your own Christmas tree.

3 hours of discounted parking

For your visit to the Christmas and Winter Market, you will receive 3 hours of discounted parking in parking garage P20.

And here’s how it works:

  1. Take a parking ticket when entering parking garage P20.
  2. Have your parking ticket validated directly on-site at various booths on the event grounds (including Lichterfahrten and skate rental).
  3. Insert the ticket at the payment machine, pay any additional parking fees if applicable, and take your ticket back.
  4. Insert the ticket at the exit barrier to leave the parking garage.


Please note:

  • If the P20 is fully occupied, please follow the active detour that will lead you to the parking garages or underground garages with available spaces. 
  • Please note that all driveways T1, T2 and all special areas (P10, P27) are exempt from this parking policy.
  • This offer is only valid in the regular P20 parking garage and not in special areas subject to a surcharge, such as "XXL parking", "Valet parking", "Comfort and security parking" and also not in the departure and arrival lanes. 
  • The offer can only be used with a parking ticket, entry and exit by credit card is not possible.
