Good and responsible corporate management

The Munich Airport Group is committed to the principles of good and responsible corporate governance.

The overriding objective of compliance management is to comply with all national and international laws, government regulations and official requirements relevant to the company, as well as internal company regulations.

We expect our employees to act in full compliance with the law at all times.

Criminal behavior should be prevented or uncovered at an early stage. This serves to protect the economic interests of the company and jobs, as well as to preserve the good reputation and standing of the Munich Airport Group.

The Group Compliance unit is the point of contact and advisor for all employees and managers on compliance issues, organizes information events and training courses, and reports on compliance to the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board. The Group Compliance unit also operates the internal reporting office for reporting compliance violations.

Tendering

When granting contracts and conducting calls to tenders, FMG requires bidders to sign a statement of commitment to take all necessary measures to avoid corruption. In case of violations, punitive measures are defined, for example disqualification from receiving contracts.

Internal standards of conduct for the FMG group

All managers and employees of the FMG group are subject to mandatory standards of conduct that define rules for gifts and favors, restaurant invitations and outside work.

Act on Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains (LkSG)

The Munich Airport Group expects its suppliers to refrain from human rights violations and environmental violations. To fullfill these expections the Munich Airport Group provides a training for its direct suppliers (§ 6 Ziffer IV No. 3 LkSG).

Business Partner Code of Conduct

The Munich Airport Group is committed to legal compliance, value-oriented corporate governance, sustainability, and social responsibility. The Munich Airport Group also expects its business partners to adhere to these principles.

The Munich Airport Group has laid down the requirements and principles for cooperation with its business partners in its Business Partner Code.

It defines clear standards for integrity, compliance, human rights, working conditions, environmental responsibility, and ethical behavior.

Business partners are expected to accept and comply with the guidelines and principles set out in this code and to make every effort to ensure compliance with this Business Partner Code throughout the entire business relationship.



Note: Before the Business Partner Code came into effect on January 1, 2026, the Munich Airport Group Code of Conduct was the standard of conduct for everyone and also applied to third parties in a national and international context. The Code of Conduct in the version valid until December 31, 2025 can be found here:

Code of Conduct (CoC)

As a 5-Star-Airport, the Munich Airport Group embraces integrity, compliance and sustainability.

The Code of Conduct is based on this corporate culture and contains guidelines and principles for behavior that is consistent with our values and the law, which are binding for all employees of the FMG Group.


Internal reporting office - Help out

As an internal reporting office, we accept reports from employees as well as from external parties, such as providers, contractors, suppliers or customers, regarding legal and regulatory violations. We ask for your understanding that our internal reporting office does not accept and forward customer complaints. You can contact Munich Airport's customer service or your airline for this purpose.

You can submit your report to the Internal Reporting Office confidentially and in encrypted form via our Electronic reporting system (Hintbox). This can also be done anonymously.

In particular, the following violations can be reported:

  • within the scope of application of § 2 Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz (HinSchG) (e.g. corruption, fraud, theft, embezzlement, misappropriation, competition offenses).
  • within the scope of application of the Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetzes (LkSG) (e.g. child labor, forced labor, slavery, disregard for occupational health and safety, use of mercury, export and import of hazardous waste)
  • Violations of the Code of Conduct.
