EasyPASS and EasyPASS-RTP permits quick passport control at the airport in an easy and convenient self-service process. You simply scan your electronic passport (ePass), look at the camera, and you're done. You can find EasyPASS control stations in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
EasyPASS
Eligible travelers are persons from the age of 12 with citizenship:
- from the European Union
- from the European Economic Area
- Switzerland
- Citizens of other countries with a German residence title
You can use EasyPASS without prior registration.
Third-country nationals entering and leaving the EU are digitally registered in a central European database upon arrival and departure through passport scans, facial recognition, and fingerprinting.
Third-country nationals without a German residence permit cannot use the EasyPASS lanes. Please follow the signs in the terminal.
EASYPass-RTP for citizens of other countries
Citizens of other countries that have a reciprocal agreement on the use of automated passport control (i.e. USA, United Kingdom or South Korea) can use EasyPASS-RTP. Please register for EasyPASS RTP at the Service Point of the Federal Police. For EasyPASS-RTP, a prior registration is necessary.
