  • The Bavarian air traffic hub is Germany's second biggest airport and provides as a "full-service operator" services in every area of airport management.
  • Since its opening in 1992, Munich Airport has been one of the most important passenger terminals in Europe, number 2 in Germany and an important international air traffic hub.


Shareholders

The shareholders of Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) are the Free State of Bavaria with a 51 percent stake, the Federal Republic of Germany (26 percent) and the state capital Munich (23 percent).

Supervisory board

The supervisory board consists of eight members representing the shareholders and a further eight the employees. FMG's shareholders are represented on the supervisory board in proportion to their percentage ownership. On the employee side, the board has members representing company employees (five), labor unions (two), and management-level employees (one seat).
