Munich Airport will once again be represented at Europe's leading real estate trade fair, EXPO REAL, in Munich from October 6 to 8 at the joint stand of the Munich Metropolitan Region. With a team of experts, the airport will present its current infrastructure projects, future development plans, and its role as a dynamic business location with international appeal.
The focus will be on, among other things: a modern mobility center near the terminal, the expansion of the cargo area, the completion and opening of a budget hotel, Bavaria's largest charging park for electric mobility, and the further development of the forward-looking innovation hub “LabCampus.”
Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport: “EXPO REAL is a key platform for us to present our vision of a sustainable, versatile, and future-oriented airport location to an international audience of experts. It enables direct exchange with investors, planners, and decision-makers, while also providing valuable insights from the industry.”
Special attention at the trade fair will be given to LabCampus, the innovation location at the airport, which is currently undergoing rapid development.
“With the upcoming move of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to around 20,000 square meters at the beginning of 2026 and the designs for six new buildings at LabCampus, we are sending a clear signal for the growth of a vibrant innovation and research hub,” says René Droese, Managing Director of LabCampus & VP Real Estate at Munich Airport. “EXPO REAL comes at just the right time for us to attract new partners and future-oriented companies for the next phase of growth,” adds Droese.
As an open space for collaboration and practical research, LabCampus offers ideal conditions for scale-ups, established companies, and science.
