The Munich AirportAcademy is pleased to announce its collaboration with Capital Airports Management Academy (CAMA) Beijing, the renowned training division of Capital Airports Holding Company, one of China's largest airport groups.

The redeveloped corporate design of Munich Airport has received recognition beyond the industry: within just a few weeks, the brand identity has won two awards. In September 2025, the jury of the Red Dot Award, one of the world's most prestigious seals of quality for design, honored the new design in the “Brands & Communication Design” category.

According to the new economic study conducted by Munich Airport (FMG), a total of nearly 37,000 employees were counted on the airport campus by the the end of 2024. This means that the campus has almost completely recovered from the pandemic-related slump and is approaching the 2018 peak of around 38,000 employees.  

Following drone sightings late on Thursday and Friday evening and further drone sightings early on Saturday morning, the start of flight operations on 4 October 2025 was delayed. Flight operations were gradually ramped up and stabilised over the course of the afternoon. 

Late in the evening of October 2, German air traffic control (DFS) restricted flight operations at Munich Airport from 10:18 p.m. and later suspended them altogether due to several drone sightings. Since operations resumed at 5:00 a.m. on October 3, everything has been running normally again. 

Munich Airport will once again be represented at Europe's leading real estate trade fair, EXPO REAL, in Munich from October 6 to 8 at the joint stand of the Munich Metropolitan Region. With a team of experts, the airport will present its current infrastructure projects, future development plans, and its role as a dynamic business location with international appeal.
