Check-in

Check-in & baggage drop options at the airport

Depending on the airline, various check-in options are available to you:

  • Online check-in conveniently from home or while on the go
  • Check-in kiosks directly at the airport
  • Partially also personally staffed check-in counters directly at the airport

For check-in, you will need:

  1. A valid identity document (depending on the destination, either an identity card or passport)
  2. your booking number (booking reference or e-ticket number)
  3. if applicable, visa information (depending on the destination)and additional documents (e.g., for travel with children).

Important: If you are carrying goods or cash amounts that must be declared, you can find the relevant information on the check-in and customs procedures here.

How to check-in your luggage

Please consult your airline to determine which baggage drop-off options are available for your flight:

After checking in your luggage, you will receive a baggage receipt. Please keep this carefully, as it serves as proof of your checked baggage.

Security check and route to the gate

After check-in and baggage drop-off, proceed to the security checkpoint. From there, you will directly reach your departure gate.

Plan enough time before your departure

Allow sufficient time for your arrival, baggage check-in and the control procedures at the airport. There can always be very high passenger volumes and therefore longer waiting times at individual points. There may also be traffic delays and congestion on the roads around the airport due to construction work.

Tip: Be in the terminal early, but not before the counters open. You can find out from your airline how long before departure the counters open.
