The Vereinigung Cockpit has called on Lufthansa and Lufthansa City Line pilots to strike on Monday and Tuesday, April 13 and 14, 2026, and on Eurowings pilots to strike on Monday, April 13, 2026. This will result in service disruptions and flight cancellations.
Lufthansa, Lufthansa City Line and Eurowings passengers are advised to check the current status of their flight before heading to the airport.
Passengers affected by flight cancellations due to the strike will be notified actively by Lufthansa via email.

No trains to/from the airport due to construction work
Between Monday, April 13, 22:10 p.m., and Friday, April 17, 5:00 a.m., there will be no train service to and from Munich Airport. This affects both the S-Bahn and the interregional Airport Express (ÜFEX). The disruption is due to construction work by Deutsche Bahn.
A rail replacement service (SEV) with substitute buses will be set up.
S1: SEV between Neufahrn and the airport
S8: SEV between Ismaning and the airport.
Please check your train connection before your arrival or departure and allow extra time for your trip to and from the airport.
