Munich Airport offers flights to 184 destinations worldwide
- Connections to 68 countries
- Re-launch of Lufthansa flights to Riyadh, Johannesburg, and São Paulo, as well as new long-haul destinations to Punta Cana or Sharjah
- Casablanca, Tromsø, and Bristol expand the medium-haul program
Parallel to the time change at the end of October, the new winter flight schedule will take effect. From October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026, travelers will have a total of 184 destinations in 68 countries to choose from. Eleven of these destinations are in Germany, 119 are medium-haul destinations, and 54 are long-haul destinations. A total of 81 airlines will operate these routes during the winter season.
Lufthansa is expanding its network of long-haul routes to include Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Three times a week, an Airbus A350-900 will fly to the kingdom between the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. This marks the return of a connection that was already part of Lufthansa’s route network in 2017. Connections to Johannesburg and São Paulo will also be reinstated in the winter flight schedule. From the end of October, the German airline’s A380 fleet will operate flights to Bangkok, Delhi, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. From the end of October, Lufthansa subsidiary Discover Airlines will also launch a new long-haul route from Munich: up to three weekly flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The route expands Munich’s tourism-oriented long-haul offering and responds to growing demand for warm-weather destinations during the European winter.
As in the summer flight schedule, Cathay Pacific will continue to connect the economic metropolis of Hong Kong four times a week with Airbus A350 aircraft during the winter period. EVA Air will also maintain its four nonstop flights operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, which connect Taipei and feature the new Premium Economy Class.
New and Established Routes on the Short- and Medium-Haul Network
Royal Air Maroc will resume direct flights between Munich and Casablanca on October 20, 2025. The national airline of the North African kingdom will serve the route twice a week. Casablanca offers seamless connections to numerous destinations in West and Central Africa, including Gambia, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire.
Beginning December 15, 2025, the pan-Arab airline Air Arabia will offer daily flights from Munich Airport to Sharjah. The emirate, located about 30 minutes from Dubai, is considered the cultural center of the United Arab Emirates. Munich is the first German destination to which Air Arabia will operate scheduled flights from Sharjah.
There are also new developments within Europe. With Tromsø, a new destination will be added to the winter flight schedule, operated by Norwegian. Beginning at the end of October, two flights per week will be available to the far north of Norway – an ideal destination for travelers hoping to experience the Northern Lights. Connections to Bucharest will be strengthened, with two new airlines – FlyOne Romania and AnimaWings – serving the Romanian capital.
EasyJet is improving its connectivity to and from the United Kingdom with three weekly direct flights to Bristol. Travelers can fly three times a week from Munich to the port city in southwest England, known for its historic architecture and vibrant cultural scene.
Aegean Airlines will, for the first time, extend its Munich–Heraklion (HER) service beyond the summer schedule. The route will continue with two weekly flights in December, with the final flight on January 4. In addition, the airline will resume service earlier than in previous years – on February 19. Since April 2025, Transavia has been operating three weekly flights to Paris-Orly and will continue this service throughout the winter schedule period.
